The New York Times recently ran an article that clarifies many of the myriad of claims you're likely to see when you're picking out eggs at the grocery.

Thanks for getting the word out--it's been great to see the overwhelming interest in what these labels REALLY mean. We at Animal Welfare Approved were incredibly pleased with the NY Times article--the author called our farms "utopia" for chickens! It's been a good way to let consumers know to look for the label, and inform farmers about the free program.
